Burnt Ranch Campground

Within Trinity National Forest, Burnt Ranch Campground operates under US Forest Service management from May through October. The campground accommodates both drive-in and boat-in access, with RV sites limited to 25 feet maximum length. Sites sit in open terrain directly off Highway 299, providing convenient road access but exposing campers to traffic noise that increases significantly at night according to recent visitors.

The facility includes drinking water, restrooms with showers, and picnic tables at each site. Campfires are permitted, and pets are welcome throughout the grounds. One reviewer noted the internal camp road shows wear with paved sections knocked out in places and steep grades in others. The location works well as an overnight stop for travelers, though the highway proximity limits its appeal for extended stays seeking campsites around Trinity National Forest.

Mixed feedback on this Cleveland National Forest campground. Visitors highlighted clean facilities and good camping spots, though road conditions and nighttime traffic were concerns for some guests.

It's okay

The site is right off of 299 which is convenient. The road through the camp is a bit rough. It is paved but it's knocked out in some places and quite steep in others.

Traffic during the day was almost 0 but at night it picks up a lot. I can't imagine there is a good reason for that.

Good for a night but that's about it.
