Nice area but tent sites are not good

Lake is nice. Didn’t catch many fish though. Swim area is very well kept. Adorable pedal boats. Tent camping sites are right at the entrance on the road. You have to park in the parking lot and carry all your stuff to the camp ground. Definitely don’t recommend using a tent site at all. The entire…

Summertime

This park was nice, we had a nice secluded spot right by the lake. The swimming area was crazy busy the weekend we were there. The trail we went on was nice and the park interpreters were very informative!

Rough country

Road going in needs work but in fairness you're driving through Ozark mountain roads that wash out easily. Very remote and that invites less than reputable company. The river access was badly washed and we had to be careful even with 4wd about getting to and from to load up the kayaks.

  • Buffalo National River take out at Spring Creek.
  • Half mile upstream from Spring Creek. Take out is poorly marked with a single pole measuring water height.

As rare as it's name

Fantastic scenery, camps, facilities and hosts. Family owned, family friendly. Located at the end of the world, it will take a bit to.get there but the drive is worth it.

  • The drove into the campground is amazing
  • Cabins for rent. Different sizes for different needs.
  • Plenty of RV spots

Great family river floating

We took a trip to the Buffalo Point Campground in mid July and it was awesome. Our elementary school age kids as well as the dogs enjoyed the river very much. And some easy hiking was also on our list.

Hidden Gem

This place is a true hidden gem. It is so close to the Buffalo River, Jasper, and Erbie Horse camp. We had such a great weekend with our family! Loved being away from all of the crowds in this secluded area.

Great experience!

There is trails to hike, paddle boats, canoes and a great swimming hole. Especially love the fact that they don't let dogs on the beach where they can poop all over the place where you sit and walk I was very grateful for that because I've seen it in other places and it's disgusting. It's a great…

Clear water, quiet campground

Camped here during the week, so it was fairly quiet. There seemed to be a church gathering in the walk-in camping area so we moved away from them to a more secluded campsite. It was lovely, right on the river, clean, and had ample room for 2 tents, 2 cars, and all our stuff. River was clear and…

Quiet & convenient

If you are in Mountain View to take it vantage of all of the music going on in the small town, Court and Square RV park is where you want to be. It’s quiet, Centrally located with an easy walking distance at the courthouse Square, and the staff cannot be beat for friendliness! Be sure to ask when…

Nice little park

This park is pretty much spotless. I tent camped in the fall and loved it. All the tent sites have a gravel pad, picnic table and fire ring. Lots of trees to set up your hammock. They have a swim beach and small boat rentals in the summer. There’s a nice paved walking trail too. I highly recommend.

Good Hiking

It’s quite the trip down the dirt road to get here. Probably will take you 20/30 minutes of gravel road. Don’t recommend bringing any type of trailer down here. The sites are nice— variety of options depending on the type of site you want. They also have hike in sites. Also the sites are FREE. No…
