Brush Heap Mountain

Hikers seeking backcountry camping will find Brush Heap Mountain requires a trek to reach its designated sites. This hike-in campground sits within the Ouachita National Forest, accessible only on foot along established trails. WiFi availability provides an unexpected modern touch for a backcountry setting.

Tent space proves limited according to recent visitors, with sites barely accommodating single-person shelters like the Durston X-Mid 1. Cell service remains spotty at the main camping area, though hikers report stronger signals at the nearby vista point. Campfires are permitted within designated areas. The location serves as a strategic stop for those exploring camping near Langley or continuing deeper into the forest trail system.

Small

It’s a great campsite with some spotty cell service down at the campsite but if you go up to the vista there is better cell service and my only issue with the site is how small the tent spots were when we camped there as they barely fit my Durston X-Mid 1 but other than that it was a great dry camp along the trail
