Overview
Yuma River Front KOA Journey is a privately operated KOA Journey campground situated along the Colorado River in Yuma, Arizona, adjacent to the Yuma East Wetlands Park. The park is open year-round and welcomes RVers, tent campers, and snowbirds looking for a convenient desert river location near downtown Yuma. The property was recently converted to KOA branding from a prior independent operator.
Facilities
The campground offers pull-through and back-in RV sites with full hookups (50/30 amp electric, water, sewer) on concrete pads. Sites accommodate rigs up to 42 feet and are described as big-rig friendly. A 24-hour laundry room, bathhouse with showers and flush toilets, and a dog park (located in the north section of the campground) are on-site. Firewood is available for sale and WiFi is offered. Outdoor recreation amenities include two horseshoe pits and shuffleboard. A pool and pickleball courts are planned for 2026 but not yet confirmed open.
Natural Features
The Colorado River runs along the back of the campground, providing direct access to fishing. The adjacent Yuma East Wetlands Park offers miles of hiking and biking trails, and access to the river for kayaking and canoeing.
