The Best Camping Near Seligman, Arizona

This KOA is a few minutes drive into famous Seligman, AZ which was the town on route 66 that inspired the Disney Movie CARS, and you can see that everywhere in the town. The town has lot's of tourist type shopping, great places to eat like Roadkill Cafe, and west side Lido's, as well as a neat Thrift store, I always visit. There's not much in the area, but a 20 minute drive west on route 66 will get you to the Grand Canyon Caverns, my review of their campground can be found on the Dyrt site.

This KOA we tent camped at, our site was on a grassy area, with gravel car parking for one car. We had an electrical outlet but didn't use it. The site was well shaded with trees and had a fire ring, about a 2 minute walk to the restrooms and showers. on site they have a store and a pool. It's a small KOA but to camp with our tent was under $25 a night. We happened to camp during monsoon season and had some very awesome lighting storms from far away to watch..

We plan to camp here again, the owners were vert helpful and super friendly, the only issues was a train run all night pretty close to the campground, but I found the noise very calming and there were a lot of bugs in the restroom at night, but again it's camping, so I understood.

Best priced KOA around

There were no trees. One side was a train that came by every 15 minutes (wasn’t really that noisy) the other side was a highway. There is a pool and decent bathrooms and showers. The lady at the front desk was so great. I wish I would have gotten her name. She was very helpful. When you stay you get a cute little keychain that says “I survived a night of 1000 trains”. Half of the tent sites didn’t have fire rings. And there were not really parking spaces. There are a lot of negative things in this review but we really enjoyed our stay. 

Nice place

As a KOA this one is at the bottom of my list. I don’t mind the trains, kind of nice to see them. I do however mind that they don’t offer a cable hookup of any kind. Especially in a location that has zero channels to pick up using my antenna. It’s 2018, how hard is it install a satellite and offer the campers something to hook up to. 

Wrong place to stay.

Campground was windy daily and flies were Bad.

We were in D5 and flies were plentiful Dawn till Dusk.

Store was well stocked and restrooms were clean.

Windy, flies and dust

I’m not a fan of KOA unless I am in a pinch for the night and don’t feel the area is good for boondocking. This place is just on the edge of my comfort zone for a KOA. The energy here isn’t quite right. I didn’t talk to any staff with a after hours check in and took off early. It was a parking spot for the night. I didn’t use any hookups, but there’s no privacy between sites at all. It’s an empty field with picnic tables. I didn’t use the amenities because showers were $10. A train is notably close to the campground. No wifi...

Awesome staff! The check in process was so smooth, the park was super well taken care of and a short drive from some Route 66 attractions, would definitely stay again! 

Great Stay

 We were super tired on our trip and happen to come across this cute TeePee at the site. We stopped and got one of their cozy little cabins, which had everything that we needed. There was a full size bed, a bunk bed, a desk and chair, a cute little porch swing, a fire pit, a water spigot and inside the cabin they also had air conditioning and a couple heaters. All we did was grab our sleeping bags and throw them on the bed. The cabin had outlets, so we grabbed our portable charger and fridge and we settled right in! The compound itself has a laundromat, a pool, a space for your dog to play and stretch out, a playground for the kids and a really great store that is pretty well stocked with just about anything that you could need. The staff was awesome!


A must-stop when weary!

The staff was very friendly and the campground was well kept. My only ding is the closeness to the railroad tracks. The trains run all night long, and the tracks are elevated.

Ok for Overnight

Has everything you need for a good night stay. Small store with the basics. Friendly people. Clean and Hot…(not their fault-it’s summer). Nice place after a long drive.

didnt like it when pulling in but after spending the night ive changed my mind. The showers are good size and clean. The floors by the showers were warmed so that was nice. pool is empty and no jacuzzi. I would stay again.

Not as bad as i thought

Our families first RV road trip. We needed a place to rest and stumbled across this KOA site! Showers/toilet room are nice and clean. They have pool, dog park and it’s off Route 66. Wasn’t crowded at all. We will definitely be checking out any other KOA spots along our route to Colorado. 

Great last minute drive up self checkin!

The staff here is very friendly and the spots are okay. The spots have electricity and water and some have sewer but if you don’t have sewer at your spot they have a dump on the way out. 
The Laundry and bathhouse were clean. Laundry is not 24 hours and you must have quarters because there is not a change machine. You can buy from the front office when they are open. 
They have WIFI, seasonal pool, doggie parks, a Tipi you can stay in and a 1/4 hiking trail. 
Silegman is just up the road and if you go you try out the road kill cafe, great staff and great food. 
It is about 1 1/2 hours to the Grand Canyon and only 30 minutes from Williams AZ.
