Description
High-desert grassland spreads across this BLM bench southwest of Las Cienegas National Conservation Area, shaded by sprawling old oak trees that give the canyon its name. The access track is rough and eroded in sections — high clearance is advisable, and the approach may be impassable when wet; standard cars and smaller trailers have made it, but large RVs and big fifth-wheels are a stretch. Cell signal is intermittent at best, and Tucson is under an hour away.
