BLM 8001 Dispersed off AZ 85

Description

Low-desert BLM land south of the White Tank foothills opens up along BLM Road 8001, a flat, smooth track off AZ 85 lined with numerous pullouts on both sides — drive in as far as you like. The first half-mile of the access road crosses Arizona State Trust Land, which requires a Recreation Permit; the BLM dispersed area begins beyond that boundary, where fire rings and open Sonoran Desert scenery take over. Highway noise from AZ 85 carries early in the evening but fades as traffic thins.
