Managed as a public access site outside Talkeetna, Sunshine Creek sits on a ridge with around 20 drive-in sites, several of which overlook the creek below. A hand pump provides fresh water, and pit toilets are on-site. Sites are well-spaced. Early in the season, some sites may not yet be cleared from winter, so conditions vary. An access trail leads down to the creek for fishing or kayaking, and the campground is close to town for fuel and supplies.
