This private campground operates year-round with both drive-in and hike-in access options, providing drinking water, restrooms, picnic tables, and trash service. Campers can reserve spots for $150 per night, with pets and alcohol permitted on the grounds. The lodge serves as a basecamp for accessing Independence Mine trails and other Hatcher Pass hiking routes during summer months, while winter visitors often use the area for sledding activities.

You can’t beat the view

Rustic cabin and the best hot cakes. Great sledding in the winter and amazing hiking in the summer. Great place to beat out the winter blues. You can’t beat a hike to independence mine or any of the other trail heads.
