Chena River SRA Dispersed — Chena Hot Springs Road

Description

Along the Chena River between mile markers 47 and 48 of Chena Hot Springs Road, this quiet gravel-bank clearing sits directly within the boreal Interior Alaska landscape of Chena River State Recreation Area. The access spur — entered from a small turnoff near the North Fork Cabin sign — passes a few open spots on the gravel bank before reaching a single secluded site at the end with just enough room to turn around; the tricky entrance and tight turnaround make this best suited to smaller rigs and truck campers. A stone fire ring is present at the site, and Angel Rocks Trailhead lies roughly 1.5 miles to the north.
