Blind Slough

Bridge jumping draws adventurous campers to Blind Slough, where the water runs high enough during certain seasons to make the leap from the nearby bridge. This National Forest campground sits alongside the slough waters, providing direct access for day activities and picnicking. The site connects to a fish hatchery operation across the water, adding an educational element to visits.

Located north of Petersburg, the campground serves as a launching point for water-based recreation and offers a more secluded alternative to camping spots around Petersburg. The slough setting appeals to campers comfortable with basic facilities who prioritize water access over full amenities.

Swimming Hole

This is such a beautiful spot! If your brave and the water is high, jumping off the bridge is extremely fun here!

I have a friend that grew up at the hatchery just on the other side - what a blessed spot to grow up.

Always a fun spot for a day picnic
