Nice place to JUST stay in your RV

Nice level gravel pull through sites. Full hook ups. Great water pressure. WiFi signal was very good ! Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and only one other RV was here. As explained in the description no bathhouse, pool or anything so just basic RVing. The only “complaints” were no fire pits for fires and is a little noisy from the highway traffic. Otherwise great pull thru full hookup RV park for the price.

Good for Our Needs

Our GPS brought us right into the campground (CG) that is conveniently located off I-65 and US-31. Check in was pleasant and quick. They take cash or check. We were assigned pull through site D-1(water and electric 50/30/20 AMP) behind the office. The advantage of this site, is that it has a yard area as the other sites do not. This is a bare bones CG with no amenities. Most of the sites have FHUs. The pad was plenty long enough for our 40’ fifth wheel and F450 plus fairly level. However, if you unhook and leave, you have a long, slightly curved road to back up on to get back in position to hook your rig up unless the site next to you is empty. The utilities are in the middle of the pad and you can maneuver to suit your needs. Water pressure was good at 50 psi and we got 4 bars on Verizon. There’s no Wifi here but due to this CG being a parking lot, no issues with satellite. Like other reviewers stated, there’s a deep ditch on either side of the driveway when you pull in, so keep an eye on how your rig tracks. This CG filled up the Saturday to Sunday we overnighted and we were assigned one of the few water and electric only sites, but were still charged$45 same as the FHU sites? Overall, this CG worked for our needs.

Easy on & off I65 overnight stop

$45 cash or check, full 50 amp hookup for overnight stay. Gravel pull thru lots. Nothing fancy, but great for overnight. Wifi wasn’t working for us.

Exit 354 dumps you off onto 31. Watch for gravel driveway at the end of the ramp (no visible sign) so slow down so you don’t miss it. Was full of campers by the time we arrived and easy to spot.

Northgate Camp Ground

This is a nice off the interstate travel park. Full hook ups. Pull through sights plenty long enough for our 40+ ft. motorhome with tow vehicle. Pull in at night out in the morning. Simple and not fancy. But fits the bill when needing a place with electricity and dump and fill water!

Immediately off I-65 / Great overnight / Friendly / Attentive

We will return!  I think this will be our go-to for the northern springtime journey.  Covid was hurting them this year - park was less than a 1/3 full.  The intersection is quite confusing so call them and they will tell exactly what to do - in and out.  Prices were more than fair, power was good and stabilized, water & sewer good.  Considering everything we did not even ask for any type of discount and we had a bargain.

We immediately loved this place!  The Roosters were crowing on their adjacent farmstead and we were at peace in the countryside.  Road noise was minimal, surprisingly, and no jake brakes were heard.  We had a restful night after 450+ hard miles.

The campground is not paved but is a solid limestone type base.  The ground was very wet due to much rain and we did not sink in at all.  Truthfully, I have nothing bad to say about this place for an overnighter or even a week or more if you are venturing out into Athens greater area and find your own entertainment.

SiteThe are mostly level and all good if you fit. Good to 55'+ overall.
