This campgroud has been closed for several years due to pine bark beetle damage. If the USFS cuts down all the beetle killed trees and reopens the campground it will be, unfortunately, like many of the others in the area, like camping in a clear cut. It is still a great area to be in but the days of campsites shaded by lodgepole pines are gone and will be for another 30-40 years. As of June 22, 2018 this campground was closed.
