Knowles Creek Dam-South

Fishing and wading along the Oconto River draw campers to this walk-in dispersed site in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Park in the lot, then walk to one of three sites positioned along the riverbank. Amenities are minimal: pit toilets and picnic tables, with no developed water source beyond the river itself. RVs are not a practical option here, with access limited to sites reachable on foot. Nearby, Knowles Creek-North sits just up the road for campers who want a comparable setup with more flexibility.
