Beautiful spot to really get to see what you can't see down low, if you visit in the fall bring long sleeves because it is windy and quite a few degrees cooler then down below.

Overall great, came in from seneca creek trailhead. Right around 5 miles to camp had cold running water to use for boiling and cooking plus wild apple trees. Plenty of space to use hammocks or tents and be away from the fire if cooking food near camp in bear country in a concern.

Camp Holly is a beautiful campground in the mountains of West Virginia.. Off grid but they do offer Wifi.
You can choose between hammock, tent, cabin or RV camping, I would recommend tenting it down by the beautiful rivers. The owners are super sweet and more than accommodating.

The park has some very pretty views and a great view of the lake. The non-hook up camp sites are VERY close together. We got in late and struggled finding site 25 that we reserved so we had to stay at site 24. Also, a little trash along the campsite when we got there, but it wasn’t too bad. Overall…
This was my first stop on my cross country trip from Virginia to California and out of all the amazing places I’ve seen, this is by far my favorite spot!

After reading previous review about the camp hosts, I think they have changed. They still have plumbing issues and the showers are still non-functional, but we brought our own anyway.
Although we are wondering if the host is changing the pricing on his own. We have a senior pass good for 1/2 price…
With the incredibly varied landscapes and diverse vegetation, Dolly Sods truly feels like you are somewhere far north from WV. The ferns and evergreens reminded me of being in Maine, the vast meadows felt like I was in Wyoming or Montana.
I spent Labor Day weekend in Dolly Sods. With the…

Less than 10 campsites situated in a small creek/canyon away fro the main park. Great for seclusion. Good tree cover. Pitted toilets, pay for showed down the road at the ranger station, hand pumped water on site. It was raining most of my stay so I was not able to full experience the attractions…
We prefer state parks but had to stay here at a KOA because of availability (Labor Day Weekend). My biggest complaint with KOAs is the tightness of the sites - this one was not bad. They had concert pads for the picnic tables (loved that). But we were in the first loop and we were far from the…

Cannot recommend camping here enough!! Sites are well situated, and very private. Especially the walk up sites, they're the real gem. Every site has a picnic table and fire ring. Pit toilets are maintained, but towards the end of our trip there was no TP for the last two days. Prepare…
Brushy Ridge Road is Forest Service Road 75 and is in decent condition. There are several pull off campsites along this road on the way up to Dolly Sods wilderness but this primitive group of three large unmarked campsites with stone fire rings is before you get to the Bear Flats Plateau and the…

This place is great. I always stay here for weekends when I got down to the river. The price is great, it has decent service and showers! A must after a day at the river.
The videos I supplied are just down the road and a trail at the river. The main attraction of this campsite.
I stopped at Yokum’s Store to get my camping permit (make sure you arrive during business hours) and drove to the Lower Campgrounds by the river. I couldn’t figure out why I was the only one picking a choice spot by the river. The first night was great. I had a little trail down to the waters edge…

I stayed here on a Sunday night so it was super quiet and I only passed two people on the trail. The campground is right by the water so it’s really pretty and refreshing. A perfect site for an easy backpacking trip.
Online it says something like “prettiest campground in WV” idk if that’s true…

The area is really nice. The site we were at was good and the sites are decently spread out. However, the water fill up is in a weird spot as well as the dump station. As others have said, most electric boxes are on the wrong side of the unit. Some spots are also very unlevel. Bathhouse is decent.
