Straddleline Park

Description

Overview

Straddleline Park is a 400-acre county-owned campground and recreation area located off State Route 8 in McCleary, Washington, straddling the Grays Harbor and Thurston county border just north of Capitol State Forest. Formerly known as the Grays Harbor ORV Park, the park underwent a name change and reorientation away from motocross racing when it reopened under direct Grays Harbor County management in July 2025. It is a good fit for campers seeking trail access, hiking, and mountain biking with a mix of hookup and dry camping sites.

Facilities

The park offers 155 campsites total, of which 20 are equipped with power and water hookups; the remaining sites are dry camping suitable for tents and self-contained RVs. Amenities include a bathhouse with showers and restrooms, a dump station, garbage service, a playground, a dog park, and Wi-Fi internet access.

Recreation

The park features 12.5 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails that connect directly to Capitol State Forest, including access to the 7.9-mile Crestline Trail. The park's proximity to Capitol State Forest makes it a base camp for extended trail exploration.
