Description
The forested ridge in Olympic National Forest above the Hood Canal watershed opens onto a sweeping view of Lake Cushman and the surrounding peaks — one of the more dramatic overlooks accessible by a forest road in this corner of the Olympics. The spur off NF 2419 is narrow, occasionally brushy, and delivers a sloped pullout best suited to shorter-wheelbase vehicles; a 2WD rig with adequate clearance can make it, but width matters on the approach. A flatter, shadier alternative sits just a few yards beyond, though without the lake view.
