Cabins near Lamont offer varying levels of comfort and amenities, from rustic to fully furnished accommodations. Clear Lake Recreation Area provides tiny cabins with electricity and air conditioning but no running water, ideal for visitors seeking an upgrade from tent camping. Military guests can access the Clear Lake Military campground, which features similar cabin options on a scenic lakefront property. Northern Quest RV Resort offers more upscale cabin rentals with concrete pads and proximity to casino amenities. Ruby's Resort at Silver Lake provides lakeside cabins for those seeking water recreation opportunities. "Military site with everything you could possibly need—tent, RV, and tiny cabins. This site was very well maintained, and very highly trafficked in the summer."

Rustic cabin rentals at Crab Creek at Rocky Ford offer primitive accommodations in a more remote setting, while the cabins at Riverside State Park's Bowl and Pitcher Campground provide a balance between wilderness and convenience. KOA-style cabins are available at Spokane KOA Journey and Boyer Park & Marina KOA, following the standardized KOA cabin layouts with basic furnishings. Most cabin rentals require advance reservations, especially during summer months when facilities like Clear Lake become heavily booked. A visitor noted that the cabins at Clear Lake Military "do have AC and electricity, no water," making them comfortable in hot weather despite their small size.

Most cabins include beds with mattresses but require guests to bring their own bedding, pillows, and towels. Kitchen facilities vary widely, with some cabins offering only outdoor cooking options while others include microwaves or small refrigerators. Visitors staying at Cedar Village Motel & RV can access more extensive amenities, as some cabins include "kitchens" according to reviews. Basic supplies are available at on-site markets at several locations, including Clear Lake Recreation Area and Northern Quest RV Resort. During peak season, the camp stores stock essential items, though selection is typically limited to camping basics and snacks. Guests planning extended stays should bring groceries from larger towns in the region.

      Northern Quest RV Resort

Luxury Turf, Spotless Grounds, and Ultimate Convenience in Airway Heights,

Reviewed by: The Crew at Hitched4fun.com

If you are traveling through the Inland Northwest along the Interstate 90 or US-2 corridors on your way to or from Glacier National Park, Northern Quest RV Resort in Airway Heights (just west of Spokane) is a premier place to pull in. We stopped here along our route, and it immediately stood out as one of the cleanest, most manicured RV resorts we’ve stayed at.

      Site Quality and Resort Atmosphere

The standard of maintenance across this entire property is top-tier:

      • Lush Turf at Every Site: One of the first things you notice is the beautiful, vibrant green turf surrounding every single campsite. It makes stepping out of your RV feel clean and comfortable, keeping dirt and dust out of your rig.
      • Immaculate Grounds: The roads, pads, and common areas are thoroughly maintained. The layouts offer plenty of breathing room, making it easy to settle in without feeling crammed against your neighbors.
      • Peace and Quiet: Despite being part of a full-scale resort and casino property, the RV park itself is remarkably quiet, calm, and secure at night.

      Resort Perks and Casino Shuttle

You get all the conveniences of a luxury resort without having to unhook your tow vehicle to go explore:

      • Free Casino Shuttle: The park offers a complimentary shuttle service that picks you up right in the RV resort and drops you off at Northern Quest Resort& Casino for dining, entertainment, or gaming, then brings you right back to your rig.
      • Effortless Resupply & Fuel: Fueling a big rig is completely stress-free here. There is a large fuel station situated right next door, plus a convenient Maverik gas station just about a block away. Having multiple high-clearance fueling options right off the property makes morning departures quick and painless.

      The Hitched4fun Verdict

Northern Quest RV Resort strikes the perfect balance between high-end RV resort luxury and effortless road-trip practicality. Between the pristine green grass pads, spotless grounds, ultra-convenient fueling, and complimentary casino shuttle, it takes all the friction out of a travel day. It is an outstanding stopover for big rigs and road-trippers alike, and our crew would gladly stay here again.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars— Highly Recommended by the Hitched4fun.com crew!

      Clear Lake Recreation Area

      Closed, military id required

Wasted a lot of time to discover the campground is closed, and is still not for military personnel. A military ID is required to enter, when it’s open

      Clear Lake Military

Family friendly spot for passing through

We stayed here for just one night while driving through, but we would definitely stay again!

The campsites don’t offer much privacy from your neighbors. The setup is more like a parking lot, with the sites backed up along the same edge and only a small amount of space between them. That said, the lake view is really nice.

The park itself is great, with a playground, tetherball, and basketball court. We especially enjoyed the boat and gear rentals. The boats were clean, well-maintained, and in great condition. We stayed on a weekday, so the rentals were half price, which was a nice money saver. They also had inner tubes available at no extra charge to pull the kids behind the boat, which was a fun bonus!

Our site had full hookups (water, sewer, and electric). There’s also a small restaurant on-site with affordable prices, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We paid $45 for one night with full hookups, which we thought was a great value. We would definitely stay here again!

Located in eastern Washington's Columbia Basin, where summer temperatures frequently exceed 90°F, Lamont area cabins offer essential protection from both intense heat and occasional severe thunderstorms. Most rental cabins remain open from late spring through early fall when weather conditions permit comfortable outdoor recreation.

    What to do

Fishing opportunities: Ruby's Resort & RV @ Silver Lake offers direct lake access for anglers. "Beautiful views, calm, and quiet area," notes a camper, while another visitor mentions it has "pretty views of Silver Lake" with "fishing and playing with the kids."

Hiking trails: Liberty Lake Regional Park features multiple pathway options through forested terrain. A camper explains, "This is a nice site that is known for its hiking trail. It is also close to play structure and small beach." Another visitor adds, "Beautiful hiking trails, a beach where you can swim and kayak and canoe and fish, birds and wildlife around singing beautifully day and night."

Dam tours: Cabins at Boyer Park & Marina KOA position visitors near engineering attractions. "It is a 2 minute drive from Lower Granite Dam if you want to take a tour," explains a reviewer. Another notes the "easy three mile round trip walk on a paved Snake River Trail" that connects to the dam.

    What campers like

Wildlife viewing: The natural surroundings attract diverse animals. At Liberty Lake Regional Park, visitors report seeing "deer in the campground every day, we saw moose, owls, pilated woodpecker, and hawks." The area provides excellent opportunities for wildlife photography.

Swimming areas: Clear Lake Military offers water recreation directly from cabin sites. A visitor notes there's a "beach that isn't the greatest, full of goose poop. Water isn't the clearest, but works for kayaking and paddle boarding." The facility includes "a nice playground and restrooms with a shower."

Equipment rentals: Several cabin sites provide recreational gear. Clear Lake Military has kayaks and paddleboards "available for rent from the office." Meanwhile, Boyer Park features a store with "many clothing options and more" plus a grill serving food that "will even be delivered to your campsite."

    What you should know

Reservation requirements: Peak season fills quickly at most cabin locations. At Bowl and Pitcher Campground — Riverside State Park, "We did not have reservations beforehand and got the last space available on a Monday. Advise reservations."

Site spacing: Cabin and tent areas vary significantly in privacy. At Riverside State Park, "Sites are pretty open not offering a good amount of privacy, though most are along the Spokane River." Another camper notes that Liberty Lake has sites that "are close together" with the tent area especially tight.

Technology limitations: Cell service and WiFi vary across the region. Riverside State Park has "no cell service (tested on sprint, verizon, and google fi)," while Boyer Park has "no Verizon coverage and free wifi is junk. But for $3/day you can get decent wifi."

    Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly water features: Family-focused water recreation exists at several locations. Boyer Park has "green lawns everywhere, nice big campsite, and nice family beach area." The facilities are "Super safe and well organized" and "Great for families (large and small), boaters, fishers, and the casual glamper."

Playground access: Several cabin sites include play equipment. Liberty Lake Regional Park is "close to play structure and small beach" and offers "more of a family oriented Campground but great for a couple of nights."

Environmental education: Spokane KOA Journey provides access to nature despite being near urban areas. One visitor notes, "This KOA is surrounded by residences and businesses, and also right next to very active train tracks," but others appreciate that it's "a good spot to stop for the night" with "nice triangular metal and wood canopy for shelter from rain and also for shade" at tent sites.

    Tips from RVers

Noise considerations: Train activity affects several cabin locations. Spokane KOA has "active railroad, so bring earplugs if you don't want to be woken up by trains several times," and Boyer Park similarly has a train that "comes through right next to the campground at least once a day and it's LOUD."

Site leveling: At Liberty Lake Regional Park, campers advise to "bring your blocks" as leveling can be required. Another reviewer mentions, "Most of the sites are fairly level. We stayed at 2 different sites over 3 weeks, and both were level."

Size restrictions: Not all cabin areas accommodate larger setups. Ruby's Resort has a visitor warning that it's "Definitely not made for big rigs or 40'. Smaller campers only," and reviewers note that campsites are "quite small" with many cabin areas designed for compact setups only.
