Dense old-growth rainforest wraps the lower Hoh River corridor here, where a gravel spur off Maple Creek Road (itself a right turn off Upper Hoh Road) winds down to a handful of informal sites tucked beneath big cedar and fir. A short wooded path leads to a riverside tent spot with a fire ring right at the water's edge — calm enough for a cold swim in summer but fast enough to demand respect. Low-hanging branches and dips in the road keep this one firmly in the small-vehicle, high-clearance camp; expect no cell service once you drop in.
