Within Snoqualmie National Forest, Camp Sheppard Trailhead operates as a US Forest Service campground near Greenwater. The site sits in forested terrain with access to both river and lake environments. Dalles lies less than a mile northwest, while other forest service options extend throughout the region.
The campground's trailhead designation indicates its primary function as a starting point for backcountry access. Forest service management typically means vault toilets and basic amenities rather than hookups or developed facilities. Campers exploring places to camp around Greenwater will find this location positioned for hiking and water activities. Check current forest service conditions before arrival, as seasonal closures affect access.
