This modern, log cabin provides unique access to the Old Rag and Robertson Mountain trailheads, just half a mile down Nethers Road. Located in Madison County, VA, PATC volunteers including the Cadillac Crew and the Lincoln Loggers were largely responsible for the construction of this impressive cabin. Fully equipped with a kitchen and wheelchair-accessible bathroom, the cabin contains a double bed, 2 double-deck bunks, and 2 single daybeds. The arrangement is ideal for two couples of families with children. Access the cabin from the adjacent parking area. The NPS Old Rag trailhead parking area is located on property adjoining the cabin, so guests should not expect privacy. Multiple hiking opportunities are within walking distance of the cabin; refer to the NPS hiking map for details.
