Creek sounds fill this forested campground where sites sit close to flowing water within Ashley National Forest. The US Forest Service manages Riverview from mid-May through mid-September, providing drinking water and restroom facilities for campers. RVs up to 37 feet can access the drive-in sites, and pets are welcome throughout the area.
The campground's proximity to both creek and river creates a water-focused camping experience. Nearby Swift Creek offers additional forest camping less than a mile northwest. The location serves campers exploring the broader Duchesne area and provides a base for forest recreation activities.
Description
The Riverview Campground sits at an elevation of just under 8000 feet. Fishing in the Yellowstone River for rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout is popular. There is trailhead access to the High Uintas Wilderness at the end of Forest Road #124 at the Swift Creek Trailhead.
