Mitt Moody Campground is located near Pine Valley, UT, surrounded by rugged terrain with a mix of forested areas and open spaces. Temperatures can range from lows in the 30s Fahrenheit during winter to highs in the 90s during summer. Nearby attractions include Pine Valley Reservoir and the Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness, offering opportunities for hiking and fishing.

The Mitt Moody sites range from being tucked away in the hillside to one that overlooks a nearby stream. All items need to be packed in by foot via a short walking trail. Parking is limited to one vehicle per site. The trailhead for the Pine Valley Canal Trail and the Santa Clara River Trail begin from this loop. The Mitt Moody loop offers a more secluded primitive camping experience compared to the other loops in the Pine Valley Recreation Area. The Best Camping Near Pine Valley, Utah

This is a great loop for tent/car campers. No cell service. Bathroom nearby and walkway close.

Ideal for tent campers

This campground was beautiful.  We camped at site #5 up on top.  It was a huge site with some shade.  Campground is part of the Pine Valley recreation area.  If you camp there you do not have to pay their entrance fee just pay for your site which is $19 dollars a night.  Water is clean and tastes good.  Campground host Janet and her husband are the sweetest and very helpful.  Bathroom was always clean.  

  

It is a walk in campground so make sure you pack a wagon to haul your stuff.  Water is by the bathroom so you have to walk a little to fill up jugs.  Lots of rocks in the ground so be prepared with a shovel if you have a big tent so you can remove small rocks.

Secluded tent only campground. Camp host Sherie-lee was great, very friendly and informative. Camped at site #5 ($19 per night) that was at the top of the hill. You will need to carry your stuff to the site. #6 was a nice site too but it’s a double site so it was $38 a night but you do have a river next to it. Bathroom is at the parking lot, not a flushable one but an actual building. Loved this campsite! There were a lot of areas to explore and walk through. A few deer sightings. Of course you need to check out pine valley reservoir (fishing, rainbow trout) and the hikes that are in the area (we did Whipple).
