Aspen Grove, near Heber City, Utah, is a fantastic spot for campers looking to soak in some stunning views and enjoy the great outdoors. This campground is surrounded by beautiful aspen trees and offers a variety of sites for tents, RVs, and even glamping options.

## Overview

 Aspen Grove Campground is located near Soldier Creek Dam above the Soldier Creek section of beautiful Strawberry Reservoir. Visitors flock to Strawberry for its excellent fishing, boating and trail opportunities.
## Recreation

 Strawberry Reservoir offers excellent boating, water skiing and canoeing. Anglers fish for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and Kokanee salmon. Aspen Grove Day Use Area is less than 1/4 mile below the campground. A boat ramp, boat rentals, slips, a fish cleaning station and small general store are on-site. The 12-mile Strawberry Narrows Trail begins at the day-use area. This scenic trail offers views of the reservoir and is open to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.
## Facilities

 The campground offers several single and double-family sites, three of which are accessible. Improvements include paved roads and spurs, cement pads, tables and fire circles. There is no phone service. You must stay on the site you reserve; no site swapping is allowed. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. 
## Natural Features

 The campground lies in an aptly named mountain setting at an elevation of 7,800 feet. Aspen Grove's Loop A is situated among dense stands of aspen, which offer nice shade and stunning fall colors. Loop B is much more open, covered only with sagebrush and grasses. There is no shade on this loop. The campground offers views of the reservoir.

 The Strawberry OHV Trail System offers 75 miles of trails. Hikers and mountain bikers enjoy the extensive trail system as well. Strawberry Visitor Center has interpretive displays, a working fish trap and egg collection station and a nature trail.
## Charges & Cancellations

 Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation. Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Late Cancellations Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival. Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply. Cabins / Lookouts: Customers will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee and forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or lookout reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge. No-Shows Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date. If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under \"Late Cancellations\" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees. Refunds Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure. Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location. Had a wonderful time! Teens enjoyed boating, 4 wheeling., swimming and roasting marshmallows over the fire.  Everyone had a Great Weekend. 

Aspen Grove 

One of our favorite spots along US 40, this campground sits above Strawberry Reservoir and has great aspens that put on quite a show in the fall. We were lucky enough to spot moose (a safe distance away - i used a zoom lens to capture) the last time we were there. The campground is usually fairly empty mid-week in the fall, unless it's hunting season!

Beautiful scenery, quiet, wildlife

Beautiful area close to the boat ramp and water. The deer here are very domesticated and will walk right into your camp. The Aspen surround the upper loop where we stayed. I would recommend the lower loop though if it's less crowded. The campsites are small and close together. There is a camp host, dogs allowed, toilets, water avail.

Pretty, but small campsites 

I went to this campground on a ward campout, and it was very enjoyable. Featuring large portfolios that you can rent, with large firepits in the center of each portfolio, and plenty of flat ground to play and/or sleep on. I personally would reccomend going there with large groups of friends who aren’t too hardcore when it comes to camping.




fun for groups

Thought this might have gotten torched by the recent fire but everything is in pristine condition! Very serene camping here with Strawberry Reservoir being less than 5 minutes away. There is also a day use area that has a dock and marina. Loop A has more shade than B, but B is closer to the reservoir with more wide open views

Beautiful and undamaged by Dollar Ridge Fire!

I have stayed here a couple times. We like campsite #38 because it is a double spot that can fit 3 or more cars or a truck and boat or large RV or trailer. It has a few flat spots for tents, and 2 tables and a nice fire ring. There are also lots of aspen trees that are nice for hanging a hammock in. The double spot is $46 a night and single is $23

Aspen grove is a beautiful camp site with lots of Aspen trees and in a valley it is a 5 minute walk to the marina of Strawberry. you also can launch a boat at the marina and you are only 5 minutes from the damn, were we caught some 22+ inch cutthrouts and other trout at the damn as well as a few smaller fish.

We caught around 250 crawfish that we cooked and ate at out camp site that night as well as cooking some steaks as well we had a surf and turf it made for a yummy dinner.

There is a water spiket at each campsites and bathrooms are close with running water. There is also a big dumpster to get rid of your trash. There is firewood you can purchase from the camp host. The camp host is really friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here each year in September and there is always spots open. It is better to call ahead because it can fill up. This is a beautiful campsite when the leafs start to change color. I love this camp ground. Close to awesome fishing and beautiful.

We took a 21’ bumper pull to a double RV site and had a super great time. Site 46 on loop B is so good, double RV spot, right by the bathroom, tons of extra room for a tent if you want one

Toilets flush! Honestly one of the best bathrooms I’ve seen. 

The northern part of loop B is really close to the dock if you’ve got a boat. 

We had a couple prairie dogs and chipmunks visit our site. Didn’t bother us, still wary of humans, but they were fun to watch

Paved campsites in a birch &amp; scrub forest. Friendly hosts. Fire pit/grill combo and large wooden picnic table in good shape. Overall a nice campground.

Good drive-in camping 

The campground is nice, we stayed in 16 which is at the upper end. No traffic noise other than people going to and from the private property behind. Gold medal fishing water below the dam.
