Off Highway Vehicle Trail/multi-use trail. This 16 miles developed trail climbs into alpine tundra and passes through white spruce forest valleys. The trail traverses a series of ridge lines with sweeping valley views to end at Quartz Creek. The Quartz Creek trail includes steep grades, rough terrain and several stream crossings. Great area to stop at use all trails for route

Directions

The Quartz Creek Trail is located in the White Mountains National Recreation Area. Travel north of Fairbanks, Alaska on the Steese Highway. Turn left onto the U.S. Creek Road at the Elliott Highway mile post 57. Travel the U.S. Creek Road to the Nome Creek Road and proceed right at the road junction after the Nome Creek Bridge. Travel approximately 3 miles to the Quartz Creek Trailhead.
