Mount Lowe Trail Campground

The road has a gate on it, which is locked 8pm-6am. That was day 1 (we slept in our car). Once past that gate, you’ll soon hit another, this one closed to all motorized vehicles. GPS says another 5.5 miles and 33 minutes (driving!) time to the campsite. As much as a lovely 5+ hour hike UP hill sounds, I think we’ll opt for a motel this time around. It was eerily quiet at night. We were the only ones there and can hear our own hearbeats laying there at night. We went in May this year so not much people around. Brand new toilet is nice as well. There was some flowing water still. Also found this vertebrae next to the table, moght have been a deer, not sure.

New outhouse built within the last year. There's no water right now but that could change after first rain or snow.

Stayed here last week & it's still great.
