About
State Park
An RVer's oasis in the midst of Alaska's heartland. Our popular family campground is renowned for rainbow trout, king, silver, pink, chum salmon fishing. We offer paved walking/biking trails with underpasses at the George Parks Highway. We have big RV sites with an Alaskan wilderness touch to make your stay authentic and enjoyable. Our campground store is a fully stocked mercantile with everything from fishing tackle and sundries to ice cream bars and clothing. If you don’t have gear, we have rods and reels for rent. We are located about 96.5 miles from Anchorage where Montana Creek crosses the George Parks Highway, and just a few miles from the turnoff to Talkeetna. We look forward to having you stay with us! State park not the private one across the street
RV parking was narrow. Large RV maneuvering is difficult. Well maintained state park and had very clean bathrooms.
Tunnel under the road connects the state park to the private park.
Do not be fooled. The online registration is for the private park.
