Clean and quiet

Bathrooms were clean, people were friendly and quiet. Reasonably sized sites that were first come, first serve, but we had no problem finding a site on a Friday afternoon. Lots of ranger patrols.

Will be back

Panther Creek was an incredible experience. We loved the campground and it's accessibility to trails. No matter where you camp, your just a short walk from a trailhead that connects to multiple trails. Not to mention the wildlife was great! A raccoon watched us make s'mores from about 20 feet away…

Great park needs some upkeep

Park is beautiful and lake views are amazing however the grass on our site had not been cut. The Bathouse was not cleaned properly the entire week that we stayed there. There was an older gentleman that used a water hose to spray out the bath house. We never seen any type of cleaning other than…

Definitely a resort

This Campground is not for bigger rigs even if they say it is. We have a 41 ft and if I had known, we wouldn't have come here. We are experienced campers and drivers. The spots are tight and you are close to everyone. If you love people this is the spot for you. We like our space. There are…

Very nice and clean

This campground is very nice. Pool area clean and have many outside chairs. The lazy river is small but still nice plus 2 other pools. Very close to Pigeon Forge and many shops and activities bear by.

Getting away from it all

I started out coming here with my grandparents in 1978 every summer spending 2 to 4 weeks during the summer up here. Back then it was was all primitive camp sites with no electricity or water hook ups. There were 3 loops with campsites A,B,& C loops each loop had a women's & a men's…

Good campsite

Campsites are nice but electric hookups only at certain sites. Its a national campground so its beautiful with nice bathouses but not much activities other than hiking. There are a limited amount of sites that would accommodate a large RV, mostly tent sites. It is first come first serve with no…

Great State Park

Panther Creek State Park has a great campground for families to spend time at. For a lesser known state park, they have a lot of amenities. Playgrounds, hiking, horseback trails, mountain bike trails, tennis courts, disc golf, baseball field, volleyball, lake access, swimming pool (closed for…

Wonderful!

We stayed in Big Creek for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The camp is beautiful and you are surrounded by the magical sounds of rushing water. There are two creeks nearby, one big and one small. We spent one day simply enjoying the campground. There are some trails nearby but most…

Dispersed Camping Spot

Flat spot near the corner of the road. The forest road is not compatible with big rigs, RV’s, or travel trailers. Recommended high clearance 4x4.

Dispersed Camping Flat Spot for one Vehicle or Tent

Flat place for one vehicle to back in on the corner of the road. There are two to three other similar places SE of here towards the I-40. Definitely not a road for RV’s or Travel Trailers, or the faint of heart, as it’s very narrow with a clearance of about 8-10 feet in several places. There are…

Beautiful Campground

Great trails, walkways, and a lot of activities available (tennis courts, basketball, frisbee, etc.). The restrooms/showers were clean and well stocked. The only drawback was the slow, and sometimes non-existent, wi-fi service.

Remote Campground for Horseback Riders

One of my best friends invited me to go camping with him here, although I knew it was a horse camp and we didn’t have horses. There are lots of trails for horses, and there are places to tie up the horses. Knowing it was a horse camp, I expected there to be horse manure, but manure was…
