Nice but noisy.

The location is convenient to local attractions in Pigeon Forge (8ish miles) and Gatlinburg as well as Smokey Mountain National Park. We stayed at site 56. All the hookups worked as they should, 2 bars cell coverage, cable worked well and wifi allowed streaming at a slow data rate ( I don't think gaming or 4k movies would work).

The only negative is the traffic noise. The road in front of the campground Wears Valley Road is heavy with local traffic and the road that runs beside the campground Happy Hollow Road is also used as a alternate route to other area attractions. The noise is mostly from vehicles with extremely loud exhaust (evidently mufflers are frowned upon on vehicles, be it cars or trucks or motorcycles, in this area). It continued until 1 in the morning and then started again around 730am.

There are no amenities such as a bath house or laundry and the office was closed because of Covid so we never saw campground office staff during our week here. Pool and snack bar were open though.
