DuBois / Treasure Lake KOA

RV campers with larger rigs will find this KOA accommodates units up to 50 feet with full electric and water hookups. The campground sits within a gated community five miles back from Interstate 80, requiring navigation through residential streets with enforced 25 mph speed limits. Multiple reviewers note the confusing signage once past the security gate, particularly challenging after long driving days.

Site layouts vary significantly across the property. Many RV spots occupy open field areas with minimal shade, while some premium sites include concrete patios that campers recommend requesting. Bill B. notes "most sites are huge" with rock surfaces that remain mostly level. Tent campers find open sites positioned close together without established pads, though the ground stays reasonably level for setup.

The campground maintains clean restroom facilities with showers and provides firewood delivery service directly to sites. A swimming pool serves as the main recreation feature, though multiple visitors report water temperature issues. WiFi coverage remains spotty in camping areas but functions reliably near the pool. For additional overnight options, campers can explore campsites around DuBois for comparison.

Book ahead during peak season, as the facility includes numerous permanent trailer residents alongside transient sites.

Short stay, open field

Short term area was basically an open field with a few trees. Restrooms were large but plumbing has a lot to be desired. Friendly staff, quiet and lots of amenities to include a snack shop with panini’s, pizza, tacos and more. Super good WiFi

Big Rig Friendly

This KOA is way back in the woods. Love it. Rock sites mostly level. Most sites are huge. Dog run is ok and have to walk a good was to the trash bin depending on campsite. Will be back. Some sites have concrete patio which I do recommend.

Located in a gated community

This KOA is ok. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean, but this KOA is located 5 miles in the back of a gated community. Signage is lacking and it’s confusing to locate once past the gate, especially after a long day of driving.

Large Open Campground

This campground has a ton of sites and a lot of permanent camper trailers. The tent sites were open and close together so there wouldn't be much privacy during the busy season. We went in the beginning of May so luckily, we mostly had the vicinity to ourselves. There wasn't an established tent pad but it was pretty level. The bathroom was clean. You can get firewood delivered to your site which is nice. I wouldn't stay there during the summer but it was the only place we could find open with availability. It was also fairly expensive in my opinion but that could just be me. I think it would be nice for a family stay but not if you're looking for peace and quiet.

Treasure Lake KOA

We loved the campground. It is very close to I80, however, there is a 5 mile drive thru a housing development where the 25 MPH speed limit is enforced by an overly zealous security guard.

Okay campground

Overall a nice campground! The sites were nice and big. Our site was perfect!! There were very limited sites that had shade! A lot of their sites were in an open field. They had a huge pool that was advertised as heated but was so cold it felt like they dumped ice cubes in it. I wish they had more planned activities for the kids.

It’s okay

Nice sites with great hookups. Not a lot of trees in the middle, a LONG way off the road and not a lot of stuff to do without driving pretty far.

Clean and Convenient

Large campground right off route 80. The campground was well-taken care of and service was good. Pool looked nice but didn’t open until 11 so we didn’t get a swim. RV spots had zero trees/shade. Verizon service horrible and WIFI did not work where we were - we walked up pool and it worked great there.
