 Tyee Campground is situated between the Pacific Coast and the city of Roseburg, Oregon. Perched on the banks of the Umpqua River, its location appeals to avid anglers and water sport enthusiasts. The name, Umpqua, is a surviving term of the Native American Umpqua language, and translates to \"thundering waters,\" \"satisfied,\" or \"across the waters.\" For awareness when making reservations: There are two Tyee Campgrounds in Oregon. This location is on the Umpqua River, and another is located near the Oregon Dunes.

The Best Camping Near Oakland, Oregon

I used to camp here with family friends every summer when I was younger. It’s truly a great spot for families with pets. Nice and quiet, tons of tent space and clean Amenities. 
The Umqua River has a special place in my heart and it one of my favorites to inner tube down! The river was once a blazing lava river that was taken over by deep crystal clear waters that carve out holes and pockets in the smooth rock. It is very slippery here so I would absolutely recommend anyone that plans on visiting to bring slip resistant water shoes.

Family destination

We've never been disappointed with a BLM campground, and Earl the camp host since 2015 makes sure everything is clean and welcoming. You need to make reservations in advance or use the courtesy phone to call reservation.gov and pay with a card. $5 for firewood bundles, no change.

Great spot to stay. Clean and spacious. Pit toilets. Poor cell coverage.

We loved this campground, we stayed for 1 night on a Friday. It was super quite and the vault toilets we the cleanest I've seen. The bar down the road is great too!

BLM land that has out house and water. Beautiful views from level camps parking. Need to book on line or be on the land line paying an extra $9 for booking fee. 

Love the campground 

I spent one night here on a trip to southern Oregon and it was a very quiet and safe place to stay. The pit toilets were clean, the water spigots were easily accessible, and the site had an excellent pad for my tent. Will definitely plan to stay here again!
