Umatilla Forks Campground is located near Weston in the Umatilla National Forest. The terrain consists of forested areas with rivers and streams nearby. Campers can explore the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway and the nearby Jubilee Lake, with temperatures ranging from 30°F in winter to 85°F in summer.

Situated between the South Fork and the North Fork of the Umatilla River, this campground offers many more activities than just camping. Fishing (catch and release) and hiking in the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness are popular from early spring to late fall. With campsites nestled within a riparian area among an ample mix of conifers and deciduous trees and heavy vegetation that provides great privacy, you will think you are camping in the wilderness itself!

The Best Camping Near Umatilla National Forest, Oregon

We started a couple nights in 2018 in mid June and it was very secluded and quiet.   Couple standing toilets and water and that’s all that’s needed.  Right by the creek with a nice big swimming hole.  Best thing is no one was there.  

Awesome hideaway

I got here on a Sunday in April and the campground was completely empty. There are 8 spots total, most which are right on the river. They are spread out with lots of trees so you can't see the other sites at all. The sounds of the river have me in a meditative state all the time. Just so peaceful and pretty.

The campground is divided into 2 sets of 4 with one set of spots further up the road in a different unmarked entrance. I guess they used to be connected but a flood made them two separate divided areas. Directions are easy. Waze took me right here with just the campground name.

No cell service at all with TMobile. But most sites have good sky for satellite and solar.
