Hole in the woods

Camped here July 1 & 2 2022. This is actually an old defunct Forest Service campground. There are still visible sites and fire rings that people have established but no toilets or water. The 10 or so sites are nicely spaced and level with trees seperating them. About half of them are adjacent to a sream. There were a few mosquitos but not terrible. There is a 9.5 mile trailhead nearby. Said it went to a west crater.. but not sure which crater it was referring to. Crater Lake is too far away I think to be referring to that.

There was no Verizon signal. The nearest usuable signal was about 12 miles back towards Diamond lake. I would say this is a very quiet campground except.. this is an OHV area.. meaning Off road (hwy) vehices are allowed. During my stay the evenings were quiet but that could depend on the manners of the other folks who may be there with 4 wheelers.
