Description
This wide gravel turnout sits along the Umpqua River canyon in the BLM river corridor of southwestern Oregon, where the forested canyon walls funnel cool marine air eastward off the coast. The pullout is large enough to accommodate multiple rigs and is oriented east–west, which benefits solar setups; highway noise from Hwy 138 typically winds down by late evening. Trails from the site lead down to the river, and views of the water are close at hand.
