Reservations are available at Sunset Cove on the Neuse River, which runs $62–$65 per night and sits along the river near Bridgeton, North Carolina. Access comes with a rough road warning, though the campground is reachable by car, on foot, or by boat. Drinking water, toilets, trash service, and cell coverage are all on-site. Pets are welcome. Our property is unlike any other in Craven County. Nestled along the Neuse River with 1,000 feet of waterfront, you will experience the gnarliest sunsets, overwhelming peace and tranquility and a supreme connection back to nature (plus, we have a bathroom for you!). Not only are you surrounded by the Neuse River, we also have a beautiful pond on our property as well as a prayer labyrinth, dock and boat ramp for launching your kayaks/canoes.
This campsite is on our personal property, although we give you privacy, you may see us coming and going to our house or outside. It is also located at the end of a long, somewhat bumpy dirt road and you will also drive past a couple mobile homes on the way down, so please be aware of that. It’s rural eastern NC, it is what it is.
With only a 10 minute drive to historic downtown New Bern you can experience the best of both worlds. Some of the wildlife you may see: bald eagles, beavers, jumping mullets, hawks, dear, geese, turtles, cranes.
We have a bathroom facility that has toilet, sink and electricity.
1-2 tents with 6 people max are permitted for this site, and only those on the reservation are permitted on the property.
We are surrounded by water and this campsite is on a peninsula that has marsh on both sides, it is not a safe place for children no matter how well behaved they are. We love kids, but acknowledge this is not a safe environment for children.
