Glen Falls Trailhead Campsite

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Nantahala National Forest manages this small clearing alongside the Glen Falls trail, where an established firepit marks the only real amenity beyond a drinking water source. It sits close to the parking area and trailhead. Campers should know that proximity to the trailhead means foot traffic from day hikers passing through. The site works as an emergency overnight stop, but the Glen Falls Backcountry Campground a short distance south draws stronger reviews. Free to use and open to pets, this spot is best suited to campers who need a last-minute base rather than a planned destination.

Small clearing

This is a small clearing alongside the Glen Falls trail with an established firepit that would work for a night of camping. However, I would definitely recommend looking at other options in the area, especially the site at the bottom of the falls since this one is not a great option. It is very close to the parking area and trailhead if you are stuck in a situation where you need a night to camp though.
