Description
Bull Pen Road (FS 1178) winds through a quiet mountain corridor of the Nantahala National Forest near the upper Chattooga River, with Scotsman Creek running just beside the campsites. Several designated pullouts are spread along the gravel road, each with a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern pole — level enough to back in or turn a van around. Light gravel-road traffic and no cell signal keep the atmosphere remote.
