Great campground

Good sites, drain well, a little close, but will definitely be back. Bathrooms were clean and big. Temperature was very comfortable, didn’t need the A/C in June! Pool was nice, could have had more chairs though. Close to downtown Boone and trails. Great mountain bike park nearby. We really enjoyed the Booneshine brewery after our hikes and mountain biking.

Okay KOA

Quite nights. Friendly people. Clean but needs updating.

Unexpected issue with reservations. Double check.

Problem resolved but dampened the experience.

Nice, but sites are small

Admittedly, this was our first trip out with our new (to us) travel trailer.  The campground was clean and had nice amenities.  It was too cool to play mini golf and we were there before the pool opened.  The setting around the campground is beautiful and pastoral with cows grazing.  Lots to love about this KOA.  The one downside was that the sites are narrow.  The width of the sites left little area to hangout outside.  We have a Flagstaff 26RLWS with 2 slides on the driver side.  With the steps out, there was only a few feet between them and the picnic table.  I get why the sites are narrow.  It's because the campground is in the mountains and they had to grade the sites out of the side of the hill.  We would definitely stay here again.

Close to town but far enough away

I enjoyed the drive out to this site, it is far enough off of the beaten path but still close to town. The site is a very easy drive to Boone and Tweetsie Railroad. We stayed at a camping cabin and it was really nice. The RVs are close to each other in proximity and RV sites are not separated by any brush or trees. We walked the country road for a nice walk each day. Overall it was a really nice KOA if you are in the area and wanting to explore Boone.

Close to Town

About a 5 minute drive to Boone which makes it a great campground for doing sight seeing in town. You're never too far from stores or restaurants to enjoy. KOA is always nice to stay at but there aren't many places to hike in the campground that I've seen. Good tent camping for families who want to go sight seeing around town and enjoy the amenities of Boone, NC.

Relaxing

This is a very small, secluded campground, but easily able to access a ton of must-see destinations!

Southern hospitality

Stayed at site E10 tent camping while looking at schools for my son. Our site couldn't have been more perfect with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge mtns and next to a field full of fireflies that were magical to my girls and was perfect for the 2 hour firewaorks display on the 4th. Site was big (we fit 3 backpacking tents) had electric and water. Location is wonderful. People were incredibly friendly both with the staff and other campers. Little farm animal area the kids could feed. Sites seemed tight for campers however and I feel the gameroom area closed down very early at 9. Clean bathrooms.

Nice KOA. Clean and has everything you need.

We really like camping there. We tent camp and it is clean and has a handful of things for the kids. The only down side is that the tent sites are road side…so when the campers pull in and out you hear them hitting the gas. Every now and again people will peel out on the road. 😕 Otherwise 👍🏻 and enjoy the friendly staff, CLEAN bathrooms and campground.
