FR 102 Dispersed — Santa Fe National Forest

Description

Pacheco Canyon Road (FR 102) cuts through high-elevation aspen and conifer terrain in the Santa Fe National Forest, where a small roadside pullout beside a seasonal creek offers a surprisingly quiet perch given its easy access from the paved Ski Basin Road corridor. A short walk into the trees leads to flatter tent spots screened by forest, while the pullout itself is just wide enough for a single van or truck camper to clear the road. The surrounding network of mountain bike and hiking trails is immediately accessible, making this a practical base for exploring the Sangre de Cristo high country.
