About

The Campground sits on the access road to Lake Winnipesaukee. It is surrounded by a state managed forest and wildlife preserve. Lake access is by way of the beach at Long Island, just a short distance away. We also have a nature trail which meanders through the forest to Braun Bay, arguably one of the prettiest spots on the big lake.

Great experience

We spent several nights tent camping. It was dog friendly and had plenty of amenities. Bathrooms were extremely clean considering it was a busy weekend. Great location, short drive down to town where we rented canoes to take out on the lake. Campground was also a short hike to a small beach on the lake. Only downside was that it was very crowded and there were a ton of ATVs buzzing around. Overall we had a great time.

Bears Pine Woods

This was our first time here. The sites were a little cramped and there is mostly seasonals. The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms ok. They have a small playground and pool. The best thing about this place is that you can walk about a mile and a half right to Braun bay on Lake Winni. You can tell 4 wheeling and snow mobiling are big here with most seasonals owning ATVs of some kind. The price was right and the location was good to other attractions just not much to do at the camp itself. Nobody came around asking us to quiet down or extinguish our fire so that was good too!
