Austin Summit sits at 7,490 feet on the high-desert spine of central Nevada, where US 50 crests through Toiyabe National Forest in the Toquima Range. The pullout is a broad, level flat set back from the highway in open sagebrush — quiet after dark, with wide western views toward sunset. Access is easy and the area is large enough for trailers to maneuver.
