Anglers and hikers use Lake Creek Campground as a base for exploring the Fisher River area and surrounding trails within Kootenai National Forest. The US Forest Service maintains four developed sites plus dispersed camping options along a loop road, with Lake Creek running behind the left side of the campground. A 6.5-mile gravel road provides access from Highway 2, creating a sense of removal from traffic.
The campground operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day and prohibits pets. Three of the four sites include bear boxes, with two vault toilets positioned on opposite sides of the loop. Campers report finding cut firewood at some sites and note the lack of Verizon cell service. For additional camping in the region, Oscar Miller Camping Area sits less than two miles east.
