Amazing

Pretty removed from everything, decent gravel road to get in, super quiet and lovely, the creek runs behind the left side of the loop. There are 4 developed sites and a few dispersed ones as well. 3 of the 4 sites had bear boxes, it was only site 2 that appeared to not have one. 2 toilets, one on each side of the loop. There are a couple roads that can be hiked/walked, but just be aware of private roads and properties. No cell service for Verizon. There was a bunch of cut wood already at a couple of the sites and some fallen trees in late August that were good for firewood.

Fishing!

Lake creek is close enough to Hwy 2, but near enough the nearby towns to make beer treks a bit easier. :) Fishing is great as well and lots of local residents who are happy to show you about.

Great Area

I really like this part of Montana. I stayed in the dispersed area for 4 nights and really enjoyed the seclusion here. The campsite is about 6.5 miles off the highway which feels pretty far once you get there. Bathrooms were ok, about as clean as you would expect a campground bathroom to be. This is a great central location if you are interested in checking out some of the hiking trails in the area. The Fisher River is also close by and there is no camping fee.
