There's a small store at the top of the hill near the campground for basic supplies. To get there, you'll need to drive to the campground area as it's somewhat remote. Finley Flats Campground offers very basic facilities. There are restrooms available, though they may not always be well-maintained. The campground is managed by a camp host who is on-site. There are no hookups for RVs, making this a primitive camping experience. There's no cell service at the campground, so plan accordingly. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility, meaning you'll need to take all trash with you when you leave.

Finley Flats Campground offers excellent recreational opportunities centered around water activities. The campground sits right on the water, making it perfect for fishing—many campers report good catches. Swimming is popular directly from the shore. Boating is another major attraction, with the ability to park your boat at the campground. For land-based recreation, hiking trails are available in the surrounding area. The beautiful natural setting provides ample opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography as well.

Finley Flats Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system in place. One of the biggest draws is that it's a free campground with no camping fees charged. Stays are limited to a maximum of 14 days. Since you can't reserve spots ahead of time, it's advisable to arrive early, especially during peak camping seasons, to secure your preferred camping spot.
