Cottonwood Camp

Off the main highway by several miles, Cottonwood Camp sits along the Bighorn River in Fort Smith, Montana. The campground provides full hookups for RVs including electric, water, and sewer connections, plus a dump station for those needing it. Restrooms feature hot showers, and WiFi keeps campers connected.

A fly shop operates on-site, serving anglers targeting the Bighorn River's trout populations. The property includes both RV sites and cabin rentals. Road noise stays minimal due to the distance from major highways. Reservations help secure spots, and pets can accompany their owners. For regional options, check camping spots outside Fort Smith. Book ahead during peak fishing seasons when the Bighorn draws crowds.

Nice little hide away

Excellent campground. The place is off of the highway a good distance so you dont get noise from the road. Definitely will return to the campground. The place offers cabins, restrooms with showers and there is even a fly shop for those of you wanting to fly fish the renowned Bighorn river.
