Camper Cabins at Mille Lacs Kathio State Park are situated in a region with flat terrain and dense forests. The area experiences temperatures ranging from 10°F in winter to 80°F in summer. Visitors can explore the nearby Mille Lacs Lake and the Kathio Archaeological District, both offering recreational and educational opportunities.

1 cabin sleeps 5 (wheelchair accessible), the other 4 cabins sleep 6 each. All cabins have electricity, heat and a screened porch. All are available year-round. Pets not allowed.

The Best Camping Near Isle, Minnesota

Stayed at Mille Lacs Kathio and visited the nearby Father Hennepin State Park in late winter, staying in a camper cabin. Great ski trails leaving very close to the campground, excellent views of Mille Lacs Lake, and the nearby forest.

Weekend Getaway to Two State Parks

We stayed in a camper cabin that was just perfect. Lots of hiking to be done and the fire towers are one of my favorite! 


Great hiking trails! 

Perfect little camper cabin and site. Fabulous park staff that even turned the heater on for us before we arrived. The cabin has electricity, heat, no plumbing. No cooking inside, wonderful fire ring for cooking, which we used at night.
