Description
Deep in the Red River Gorge country of Daniel Boone National Forest, this roadside pullout sits at the transition point where Spaas Creek Road turns from gravel to dirt along the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway — a corridor popular with overlanders and ATV riders, particularly on weekends. The surrounding hollows hold sandstone cliffs, natural arches, and creek drainages within a mile or two, with several named hiking trails accessible from the byway. Weekdays and off-season visits tend to be quiet; expect heavier use on Friday and Saturday nights.
