I-80 Fuel and Snooze Stop

Right off I-80 at Exit 122 in Minooka, this Pilot Travel Center is about as convenient as they come. The parking lot is sprawling, well-paved, and clearly marked, with about 100 public truck / RV spaces and additional ‘prime parking’ spots if you want to pay for a guaranteed space. The layout makes it easy to pull in and out, even with a big rig. If you’re stopping overnight, the back edges of the lot are the best choice to dodge most of the late-night activity near the fuel pumps, plus it’s also darker in the back, so you won’t need to put on shades when you grab some ZZZ’s.

Inside, Pilot delivers on its reputation with a full lineup of traveler amenities. You’ll find seven clean showers, public laundry, restrooms, Wi-Fi, a CAT scale, propane and even a game room if you need to shake off the highway monotony. Fuel lanes run quickly thanks to eight diesel pumps and EV chargers are on-site too. Food options are built right in: Subway and Cinnabon share the building, so you can get a sandwich or ‘sugar bomb’ of a cinnamon roll without leaving the lot.

Beyond the parking lot, you’re not far from Minooka’s local conveniences. Head a few minutes down Ridge Road and you’ll find grocery stores, fast food chain restaurants like Subway, Taco Bell and Chipotle, local gnoshing spots like Roosty’s Chicken 'n Shakes and Cookie’s Restaurant as well as supply stops like Jewel-Osco, Walmart and Ace Hardware if you need more than what Pilot stocks.
