## Overview

 North Fork Campground is situated on the banks of the beautiful Big Wood River at an elevation of 6,300 feet. Visitors enjoy fishing and tubing on the river and exploring the Harriman Trail.
## Recreation

 This site is part of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, where outdoor activities abound. Fly-fishing for rainbow, brown and brook trout is popular on the Big Wood River, as is float tubing. The 20-mile Harriman Trail leads past the campground, offering excellent hiking and biking. Numerous additional trails spur off the Harriman Trail leading to deep canyons, sparkling lakes, swimming holes and more excellent high country fishing.
## Facilities

 The campground contains several family sites, some of which are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. Firewood is available for purchase from the host. Roads and parking spurs are gravel.

 A scenic aspen forest covers North Fork, offering plentiful shade. Pines dot the landscape and colorful summer wildflowers are abundant. Willows and grasses line the riverbank. Temperatures are cool with an average summer high of 78 degrees and a low of 40 degrees. 
## Nearby Attractions

 The Sawtooth National Recreation Area Visitor Center is 1/2-mile from the campground, with a small museum, bookstore and area information. An RV dump station and drinking water are located here as well. Easley Hot Springs is 6 miles north, offering a swimming pool, hot tubs, showers and a small store. Popular area events include Wagon Days in Ketchum in September.

close to Ketchum and loads of good bike trails.  camped in a small Aspen Grove .

Beautiful campground located at the mouth of Sawtooth Natl Forest. Right next to Wood River and surrounded by huge cottonwoods. Vault toilets and well water from spigot available. Pets allowed on leash. Good basecamp for exploring the Sawtooth area and Ketchum! I only knocked it down to 4 stars for highway noise which was rarely bothersome.

Cute campground! Hosts are really nice! Firewood for sale. No cell service. Host said it can flood during high water seasons.

Camping in the forest in Sawtooth.  Pull through sites were available.  Fire rings and picnic tables were at every site.  Situated next to stream.  Resident moose was sited one morning, and we saw bear claw markings on a tree behind a camp site.  Campground hosts were very friendly and helpful.  We bought wood and the host split up kindling for us.  No hookups but water was available at a few areas.  

Beautiful wooded camping

Short 12-15 minute drive north from Ketchum/Sun Valley.  Only 1\* off because of slight road noise but it is probably not an issue for most sites.  We were pretty close to the highway and it still was not too loud.  

  

Camp Host named Rich is very helpful.  $7 firewood for sale each evening.

Great location just outside Sun Valley

The Sawtooth recreation area has it all.  Camping, fishing, hiking, biking, skiing.  Ketchum is the nearest town which is an activity all in itself.  There are also hot springs in the area.  We love it here in the winter.  Miles of cross country skiing and snowshoeing.  There are numerous campgrounds within this recreation area.

Beautiful Country

North Fork is located a few miles north of Ketchum.  The facilities are clean and the host is friendly and helpful.

The tent locations are a little on the small side. I have a 4-man tent and had to stamp down some grass and plants in order to make it fit. It’s odd because the sites are HUGE.  

You are very close to great hiking, biking and  Crater of the Moon NM.  Ketchum has a grocery store for food, but I couldn’t find stove fuel anywhere so make sure you come stocked.

Good location to beautiful hikes

Found a nice free  site near the SNRA Guard Station just north of Ketchum off Hwy 75.  Private area near the Big Wood River.  3 or 4 sites with fire rings.

Close to Ketchum, right off the highway.  Nice sites.  Quiet at night when traffic dies down.

Nice location and setting

We really loved this little campground. Sure, it's a little close to the road, but it's so beautiful, central to the area, and is simple to get in and out of for other adventures. It's literally integrated with the "Harriman trail" which provides access up and down the valley for runners, bikers, and hikers. Sites are spacious, bathrooms, although pit toilets, are clean and potable water is readily available. RV'ers won't like this site, as there are no hookups, and clearance to some of the sites might be a little tight. We used it as a base camp to mountain bike, play in the river, and check out the Ketchum area. The camp host was present and was very kind and helpful. We were able to build a nice little campfire, cook some dinner and enjoy the area here. Sleeping was quiet, cool, and restful.

Paradise Discovered

This campground is located just north of Catchem Idaho just off the highway. 27 sites. Very clean and well-maintained pick toilets. Larger rigs can also stay at this campsite. Highly recommend.

Nice campground.

 Right off Hwy 75 in the Sawtooth National Forest is this nice campground within a grove of aspens. The road through the campground is gravel and the sites are gravel and dirt. It was quite dusty when we went but the trees were starting to change color which was nice and you can hear the wind shaking the aspen leaves so it made of a relaxing vibe here.

  

$18/ night, $10 firewood (fire restrictions in effect).  Sites are reservable on recreation.gov.

  

 Hiking/biking trails nearby and this campground also sits along the Big Wood River. There were garbage dumpsters and pit toilet bathrooms and water spigots throughout. 

  

Each site had mostly level parking spots with picnic tables and fire pits. Each site was fairly private and offered nice amount of shade. There were plenty of sites open and there are some pull throughs for bigger rigs. 

  

Good for RVs, vans or tents.

  

Zero cell reception from ATT, Verizon or TMoblie

Peace in the Aspens

It’s a quiet place. It is dusty. The camp host was awesome. He was quick to tell us what sites were still available on a holiday weekend. He even alerted the campers that a bear was spotted a few miles down. There is no power and no cell service.

Great Place to get away 

The campground is clean $20 a night with some highway noise. There is a bear in the area at this time.

Quiet

Dispersed camping along the Wood River and a couple of SNRA Campgrounds with pit toilets and water. Amazing spot within easy driving distance of Ketchum and Sun Valley. The road dead ends at the trailhead for the Hemingway Wilderness
