Description
Boise National Forest rolls into the South Fork Payette River corridor near Lowman, and this flat pullout off a forest service road sits squarely in that ponderosa-and-river-canyon country at around 4,500 feet. The site is level and open, well-suited to trucks and vans — posted signage on the approach road restricts trailers. The hamlet of Lowman and the developed campgrounds near Kirkham Hot Springs are just a few minutes away if you need a reference point, but the site itself is quiet and free.
