We are located in a secluded area bordering The Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway in Ocala, Florida. The Santos area of the park is home to the Florida National Scenic Hiking Trail, top mountain bike trails, a 16 mile paved trail for road riding, and extensive equestrian trails. 

We have full RV hook-ups and furnished daily rental cabins. We're close to businesses that provide kayaking, zip lining, and horse back riding adventures.

The Best Camping Near Belleview, Florida

We enjoyed being right next to the biking and hiking trails AND only a few minutes from grocery stores. We stayed in a cabin that was adorable and immaculate. We look forward to returning to try horseback riding!

Excellent location for outdoor enthusiasts!

We booked last minute as we were travelling and needed a closer spot to rest. The drive to the park is unbelievably stunning. It’s like a story book. We wish we were staying longer so we could enjoy all the trails but we’ll def be back.

Enjoyed camping. Internet connection very weak.  Check in online and go to your campsite. Would like to have a person on site to ask questions. Some sites are a bit hard to get level.  

Quiet campground close to bicycle, hiking and horeback riding trails.  

Love it here. Easy access to bike trails, camp fire nights and log cabins available if you don't have an RV.

Our first visit and it won't be our last. We ride e-bikes and it was awesome being able to ride straight on the trail from our site! 

Great Place

The WhimCycle Trail campground location is PERFECT for accessing the Santos biking and hiking trails! It was our first visit and we LOVED it! The trails are well maintained, plenty of variety, quiet and we felt immersed in nature. 

  

The campground has very large spaces for RV's. In fact, they are so large that we had to park our small Sprinter van in the grass, off the gravel pad, in order to reach the electric and water. We camped 3 nights on sites #6 and#7 on the west side of the loop. We loved the afternoon shade from the giant oak trees and being backed up to the forest allowed some privacy. The single outdoor shower was right behind our sites, which was great, as we did use it. But if someone else would have wanted to use the shower while we were sitting at our campfire, it would have been a bit uncomfortable for both parties! 

  

We were disappointed that the“bath house” wasn’t functional yet and we had to use a single port-a-potty. But it was relatively clean and they did provide a hand washing station.  There is no Wi-Fi service provided and our Verizon cell signal was extremely weak. 

  

Our biggest gripe is that we paid an extra $20 as a“site lock” fee because we wanted to be sure to have an adjacent site with our friends (we made reservations 1 month in advance). As it turned out, the campground was less than 20% occupied the entire 3 days we were there, so the fee was definitely not necessary. I really think that if a campground allows me to choose a site during reservation and I pre-pay in full, then the site should be confirmed without any extra fees. 

  

That being said, we will definitely return to stay at WhimCycle Trail! It was peaceful, beautiful, clean and we had a blast on the biking trails!

Great location to access Santos Trails!  Expensive for limited services.

We stayed at site 6 for two nights Saturday and Sunday night. 
The campground was quiet, facilities were super clean, and the sites were large. We were under a big beautiful oak tree. 
The campground backs right up to the bike trails that we definitely made good use of. And we were minutes from Silver springs, if you have an opportunity it was a great place to visit for a glass boat tour!
I think if I had to pick one downside is maybe that there was no WiFi and limited cell service, but then again it was nice to disconnect for a few days. 
All and all we had a great visit and will definitely be staying again! 

Peaceful, quiet, and clean

What a great little campground. Very quite part of town and direct access to the 5 star greenway trail. The campground has spacious sites equipped with full hookups including 50 amp service. The new bathrooms/showers are beautiful, clean and spacious. Overall had a great time.

Amazing bike trails right off campground

Situated in Ocala, this park offers a wonderful get away for bicycling, horseback riding, or hiking   Great trails   The park itself is open with few trees but an amazing host. Some long timers reside here.
